As someone recovering from a devastating life change due to a job site accident and by the WCB (WorkSafe) need to keep the injured down and out. I for one can’t afford to pay more taxes which are designed to do one thing only, that is to give Corporations a free pass on their taxes by making Regular People pay a LOT more taxes on everything we need to live a normal life. We are lucky enough to have a former Premier of British Columbia spearheading this issue. Some loved him, some hated him, none of that makes a difference in this issue. I was not lucky enough to have this kind of information available when I was injured due to employers carelessness, life will never be the same. For decades, Corporations like WCB also using the name WorkSafeBC and ICBC have been intentionally ruining peoples lives, why? To protect the almighty dollar and knock down the little guy? We let them do it to us without saying a word. Why is this site so important? Someday you or a loved one may be face to face with the WCB and their Illegal activities, knowledge is your best defence. I am fed up and am trying to make a difference. I actively run this blog while trying to survive the financial ruin and health decline bestowed upon me by WCB and Nexient Learning Inc.

In 1999 i started a corporation, applied for wcb coverage and in 2000 i was assaulted by an ex employee. Wcb rejected my claim completely because they claimed i was not on the job. Well i was and As the years have been going by i have been slowly winning and also racking up legal bills that i cannot recover. I have made it as far as the wcat reconsideration. And still i am not getting what i am entitled to. Even though wcat is an INDEPENDENT government body the burden of proof still lies with the injured worker and wcat does side with wcb even though you have proven your case. I have received $5000 of hearing aids, and yet wcb has denied the fact that i suffer from tinnitus and inner ear injury. , i have a facial disfigurement , an eye twitch, eye tearing and yet they will not acknowledge that i suffer from a head/brain injury I have many other problems associated to this incident. I was awarded a 40 percent phyc disability and yet All medical documents support the facts that i suffered a head/brain injury. By not acknowledging these injuries, they were able to deny the treatment that i required at the time of injury and the treatment that is available presently.

This may be an opportunity for you to open a door that has to be recognized by the government. I may not be able to personally sue wcb for my legal fees or for inducing further trauma and hardships, but my corporation should be able to sue wcb for fraud. Taking premiums from the Corporation and denying compensation and medical help immediately when required did in fact create a permanent and irreversible mental and physical state . You may ask “why did i not go to my own doctor” ANSWER When you are messed up as much as i was, mentally and physically i was not capable of doing so. My file is proof that this has happened. I lost everything!!! What needs to happen is the corporations and companies that wcb represents need to stand up for their employees. They are afraid to because they fear their rates will go up. Wcb was created to protect companies from employee lawsuits. Well my corporation is willing to do this if a legal firm is willing to take this on.

If you are interested to pay for the legal fees, my corporation will open this door and fight for the injured worker. I am a well educated individual and yet i was classified as a janitor and i am receiving a janitors wage. This is not fair or correct, This is corruption at the highest level. Lets put a stop to it.

When I submitted my appeal to raise my $70 a month long term permanent disability payment to something more realistic, I mentioned that due to the process used by WCB Appeals, it would be turned down. At this point in the process there is no real way to win the case. Why is this? It is because WCB Appeals is part of WCB. This is not a separate impartial entity.

According to the Appeal findings, my case was affected by my former employer Polar Bear Corporate Education now called Nexient Learning Inc. This suggestion did not surprise me in any way because WCB is a long term client of theirs and there is a lot of internal communications going on. I still have friends at Nexient and it is disturbing to find out how close the communications are in this case. I want the clients of Nexient to know how they treat their injured employees and I feel that a boycott is a suitable result by current clients. If you value human rights, you will avoid feeding the corporations that stomp on them.

I have had to take a long hard look at this situation and since I am merely an individual that has been bankrupted by WCB and Nexient, I feel I will bow out of this farce. My life has been ruined forever to the point where I have been having serious chest pains, shooting pains down my left arm, stomach problems from an ulcer and I am truly fearful that I will not survive another appeal. YOU WIN WCB AND NEXIENT! (for now).

From here on I am going to publish my entire appeal on this Blog, one page at a time, per day. This will help any newly injured workers understand what they are in for. I will also be writing a book about my horrific experiences in the hopes that it will help others make the right moves based on the lessons learned from my wrong moves.

I will also be publishing the surveillance videos taken of me on this Blog. Wherever possible I will be entering the real names of those that were involved in this case (in the appeals, their names are changed to initials to protect their identity).
